Investigation of Limestone Marble deposit in Lokoja, Kogi State

Rabo Mining Company Ltd. required our services in effort to determine the extent of occurrence of marble in Lokoja, Kogi state.
We conducted a detailed geological mapping of the marble deposit. This involved:

• mapping on a scale of 1:5000 of the deposit for area extent
• determination of area extent and depth of occurrence via geophysical resistivity along prominent veins

Parts of the tools used in the exploration were Germin GPS for sample points and Compass Clinometer.
We were able to discover a huge form of marble deposit occurrence in the area.
It was a well-coordinated and managed project, hence we received excellent commendation from our employer.
